Registration Fees for the SAB'02 Conference
The registration fees for the SAB'02 Conference are summarised below. The registration fee covers access to all technical sessions, refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks, and the Welome Reception on Sunday 4th August. To qualify for the early registration discount, registration charges (and any accommodation charges for rooms provided by Edinburgh First) must be paid by 31st May 2002. Registration will be confirmed only when full payment has been received.
Conference registration fees are set in UK Sterling (UKL). Approximate equivalents, at current exchange rates, in Euro (EUR) and US Dollars (USD) are given in the table below. The amounts actually billed will be in UKL.

ISAB Affiliates are members of affiliated societies who are not also members of ISAB. The associated societies are the International Society for Artificial Life (ISAL) and the Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and the Simulation of Behaviour. It is possible to join ISAB and/or ISAL as part of the conference registration procedure.
Conference Banquet
The Conference Banquet for SAB'02 will be held in Edinburgh University's Playfair Library. The cost of the banquet will be UKL 40 (EUR 65, USD 55) per person. The number of places is limited to 200 which will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.Registration Cost for SAB'02 Workshops and Tutorials
Registration costs for the workshops and tutorials associated with SAB'02 are as follows. The Epigentic Robotics Workshop lasts for two days and its fee includes meals; other workshops and tutorials last for one day or a half day and their fees include refreshments. All fees include entry to the respective workshop and the workshop materials.
It is possible to register for workshops without also having to register for the main conference.
As for the main conference, fees are set in Sterling (UKL) and will be billed in UKL. Approximate equivalents, at current exchange rates, in Euro (EUR) and US Dollars (USD) are given in the table.
N. B. EMBody 2: The Second Workshop on the Evolution of Morphology and Behaviour has been cancelled, because of lack of submissions. Anyone who has already paid the fee for the workshop will receive a refund.

Pre-Booked Accommodation
The conference organisers have pre-booked accommodation of various types for conference attendees. Full details will appear soon on the accommodation page. However, to allow people to estimate the cost of attending the conference, the types of accommodation and their approximate prices per room per night are listed below.

On-Line Registration, Payment and Cancellation
The on-line registration process is operating smoothly.
Payment for conference registration, workshop, tutorial and/or Edinburgh First accommodation charges will be by credit card or by cheque drawn in Sterling on a UK bank or by direct bank transfer to the University of Edinburgh's bankers. Unfortunately, on-line credit card payment proved impossible to organise in time, but off-line payment is available. Credit card payment incurs a small processing charge (1.5%).
For cancellation before 31st May 2002, registration fees will be refunded less a 5% handling charge. For cancellation between 1st and 30th June inclusive, registration fees will be refunded less a 15% handling charge. If you need to cancel after the 30th of June, please contact the conference organisers. The cancellation policy for Edinburgh First accommodation (Pollock Halls) will be published shortly.
